District elevation summaries for site screening in Thailand

MapScale terrain is district-level elevation context sampled from Copernicus DEM GLO-30. It can help organize regional site review, but a district summary cannot supply a warehouse floor level, parcel elevation or drainage design.

Procedure

  1. Identify the district from a verified location and match the administrative reference.
  2. Read the elevation summary scale and source; record the district-level nature in your report.
  3. Obtain a site survey and local drainage information before engineering or underwriting decisions.

Interpretation checks

Input or conditionHow to interpret it
District summaryRegional context for comparing areas.
Parcel elevationRequires a finer source and a verified location.
Flood probabilityRequires a separate model and evidence; elevation alone is insufficient.

Illustrative working example

Code illustrates a review procedure, not an observed result. Replace illustrative inputs with verified records; missing values deliberately remain unknown.

screening = {"district_summary": None, "parcel_survey": None}
# A district summary supplies regional context only.
# Obtain a survey before using a parcel elevation in design.

Bounded API request

Read-only public request, limited to 100 features. Check HTTP status, freshness and pagination before interpreting the result. Foundation layers use their dedicated APIs; this is not a bulk database export.

curl --fail 'https://api.mapscale.io/v1/public/atlas/layers/terrain?bbox=101%2C12.6%2C101.5%2C13.1&limit=100'

Useful output and decision limits

A regional screening record with explicit survey dependencies. It is not a construction specification, flood-depth calculation or land appraisal.
